¡Viva el Mariachi Femenil! 1903-2015 Exhibit (Free Event) March 16th- March 21st, 2015Flyer Front 1

Based on 18 years of original research by Dr. Leonor Xochitl Perez, this important exhibit shows how women have been actively engaged professional mariachi musicians for more than 100 years. It brings to life their formerly silent voices and of those who continue to engage in this music today, providing a new perspective as it unveils a cohesive but untold story of passion, respect, and influence of women on this important Mexican cultural form.

The free ¡Viva el Mariachi Femenil! exhibit will be in the Mission Playhouse lobby.

This event is supported by the Mission Playhouse Community Engagement Program.

Hours for the exhibition are listed below:

Monday, March 16th-Thursday, March 19th- 2:00pm-6:00pm

Friday, March 20th: 10:00am-2:00pm

Saturday, March 21st: 1:00pm-5:00pm
