Visit Playhouse Plaza Thursday evening, July 18th at 7:00pm and enjoy the second of three free outdoor summer concerts at the Mission Playhouse featuring The Jennifer Keith Sextet! 

Performing timeless pop, jazz, and standards from the 1930s through the 1950s, the sextet “has a sound all its own, reclaiming and reinterpreting the standards…with contemporary sass and bravado.” The Las Vegas Sun

Founded in 2006 by vocalist Jennifer Keith and acclaimed tenor saxophonist Mando Dorame (co-founder of the Royal Crown Revue, a band who is credited for reviving the swing movement), they have performed at venues including BB King’s Blues Club NYC, The Wynn, The Cosmopolitan, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and held a residency at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato.

Joining Jennifer Keith (Vocals) and Mando Dorame (Tenor Saxophone) are Mark Cally (Guitar), Nick Mancini (Vibraphone), Jordan Richards (Upright Bass), and Gareth Price (Drums).

Bring your appetite and support San Gabriel businesses! Chanos’ delicious Mexican food will be available for purchase along with refreshing beer from San Gabriel’s first brewery, Ogopogo Brewing, and all natural pops from Nomad Ice Pops.

Parking is free. We provide fold up chairs (first come, first served). You can bring your own chair if you’d like.

Concerts at Playhouse Plaza conclude August 22nd with Louie Cruz Beltran & his Latin Jazz Ensemble.
