Mexican Independence Day Concert (Free Outdoor Concert!)

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day at the Mission Playhouse with a free outdoor concert featuring two wonderful musical acts, Trio Ellas and Nancy Sanchez, Friday evening, September 14th! The talented dancers of Esperanza Flores Ballet Folklorico open the celebration at 6:00pm.

Latin Grammy nominated Trio Ellas unique sound comes from their traditional mariachi roots blended with elements of jazz, pop, country, and Andrews Sisters style vocal harmonies.

Singer/Songwriter Nancy Sanchez performs a variety of music genres including ranchera, pop, jazz, and mariachi. Her latest album was listed on NPR’s Alt Latino Best of 2017.

Parking is free. We provide fold up chairs (first come, first served). You can bring your own chair if you’d like.

Food will be available for purchase from Downtown LA’s Zagat rated Pez Cantina Coastal Mexican Kitchen.

Nomad Ice Pops will be selling their refreshing handcrafted all natural fruit pops.
