The Mission Playhouse and The Music Circle present Rajeev Taranath & Udayraj Karpur Saturday evening, April 1st at 6:00pm.
Sarod master Taranath, a distinguished disciple of virtuoso Ali Akbar Khan until 2009, is a recipient of India’s highest arts award. A Ford Foundation Scholar, he was head of CalArts Indian Music Program from 2000-2005. Karpur accompanies on tabla in this Global Flavors concert where artists and audience come together onstage for an intimate transcendent musical encounter.
Concert tickets range from $13-$35 and includes dinner (Maharaja Burrito and Lemon Grass Chai)! Tickets must be purchased before 11:00pm, Thursday, March 30th if you’d like dinner included with your ticket. Tickets can still be purchased after March 30th but will not include dinner.
