Silent Sundays Series: Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (1920)

October 2 @ 2:30 pm

Next up in our Silent Sundays series on October 2nd at 2:30pm is the 1920 horror film, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde starring John Barrymore.

Set in 19th century London, Dr. Jekyll is a well respected member of society who cares for the poor. He becomes transfixed with the idea of separating the two natures in man and begins experiments which have dire consequences.

Accompanying the film on our Mighty Wurlitzer is organist Russ Peck. Mr. Peck currently performs at San Diego Symphony Hall/Jacobs Music Center for their silent film presentations and is house organist at San Diego’s Balboa Theatre. In addition to being an organist, he is principal timpanist for the Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra.

Our series continues on December 4th with comic great Harold Lloyd’s 1923 film, Girl Shy.

Tickets are $12. There are 2 ways to purchase a ticket:
