Swan Lake

November 16, 2014 @ 5:00 pm

Li's Ballet at the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse

The story of Swan Lake begins with a prince named Siegfried who is turning 21 and must choose a bride at the royal ball the following evening. Feeling overwhelmed, he goes into the woods. While walking through the forest, he sees a swan by the lake that transforms into a beautiful girl. He approaches her. She tells him her name is Odette. She’s a princess who has been put under a spell by an evil sorcerer. Odette can only take her human form at night. The spell can be broken if someone pledges their fidelity and marries her.

Will Prince Siegfried be the one who breaks the spell?
