Two-time Grammy Award winning Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano originated in 1961 by the ‘Giant’ Jose Natividad ‘Nati’ Cano Ruiz. Mr. Cano played a fundamental role in the development of mariachi music in the United States by training and mentoring new generations of mariachi musicians including the addition of female performers in mariachi groups. The Mariachi ‘Giant’ was a visionary leader and wanted to take mariachi performance out of customary locations such as Cantinas and into concert halls where celebrities performed. Nati Cano fulfilled his dream by performing at the White House, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and other recognized venues where mariachis had never previously performed. Over its 50+ year history, Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano have recorded and performed with numerous artists. They’ve released 12 albums and have been nominated for Grammys four times (2005,2006,2008,2015), receiving 2 Grammy awards. Click on the titles to view performances of Los Laureles and Paloma Negra
